Classmate George Nagato has written A Caring Ministry - A Strategy for Church Growth in which he identifies practical and effective ways to build a healthy church based on a lifestyle of "caring." Georgie, who earned his Doctorate in Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary, has been the Senior Pastor of Paradise Chapel in Waianae since he was 33 years old. Kalihi Kids, we know how "old" that makes him, right?! : ) He also currently serves as the District Superintendent of the Hawaii Assemblies of God.

Some classmates have heard George deliver his down-to-earth sermons at Paradise Chapel. We looked at him standing up front, speaking so easily, confidently, and passionately... Awesome, we thought! ...because in our minds, we saw him as that happy-go-lucky barefooted kid at Kalakaua with that dimpled smile, and now, here he was, looking all "growed" up and handsome in his three-piece suit and shoes, but still with the smile that won't quit, and personality that endears him to all of us... Congratulations on your accomplishments, Georgie Boy!
