Aloha dear classmates,

Just thought to share the following cover photo of a trip to the Virgin Valley opal mines of northern Nevada.

The fire opals we found in the mound of clay in the picture.

The group picture is of Nancy and Jim Akamine and Heinke and Patrick Ka'ano'i. Jim and I (Pat) are from class of '65. We met at Kalakaua Intermediate school when we were 12 years old and we're still kicking. We went to Farrington High and then into the 11th All Hawai'i Army Company during the Vietnam Era. Jim and his wife now live in Sun City, Phoenix, AZ and my wife Heinke and I live in East Las Vegas, NV.

We had a great time and thought to share the other activities of Nevada to you all.
